POLICIES, RULES & REGULATIONS

Camp Navarro is a beautiful and special property that we want you and your fellow guests to enjoy! We ask that you clearly communicate to those in your party coming on the site visit the rules of the property and their obligation to act responsibly. We appreciate your attention to this matter and are committed to creating a fun, safe, and inspiring visit.

Use of Premises
Pristine, Natural Environment Camp Navarro has over 200 acres of Redwoods, rivers and streams. We operate the property in cooperation with a long-term forest management plan so we can maintain Camp Navarro as a natural resource for generations to come. We provide an “elevated” camp environment with the accommodations and amenities listed in this Rules & Regulations. We take pride in keeping the camp in good, clean and working order. If you become aware of any issues with the premises, let us know and we’ll do our best to fix it as quickly as possible.

Respect the Environment - Spread the Word
● Guest agrees that you and your party will respect Camp Navarro and the forest and that you will leave Camp in the same condition as when you and your party arrived.

Health & Safety
Masks & Vaccination Regulations

● All federal, state and county mandates in respect to masks and vaccination requirements will be in force throughout the visit. This is non-negotiable at any time the visit.


Fire Safety
Camp Navarro takes fire safety very seriously.

• The only fires allowed on property must be built and managed by Camp Navarro staff at the main fire bowl in front of Bosch Lodge near the Owl Bar, adjacent to the Main Stage.
• Absolutely NO personal campfires permitted anywhere on Camp Navarro’s property.
• Absolutely NO fireworks permitted anywhere on Camp Navarro’s property.
• Firewood gathering is not allowed anywhere on Camp Navarro’s property.
• Any violation of CN Fire Safety rules may result in a fine and/or legal action against the individual guest(s) and/or event host depending on the severity of the infraction. Camp Navarro reserves the right to require guest(s) in violation of these policies to leave the property.

Lawn
● Camp Navarro strives to maintain a healthy lawn but wear and tear does inevitably take place throughout the (long dry summer) season. We do our best to have a good-looking lawn for each event but bare, rough, worn spots will occur.
Rugs, lawn chairs, and personal items must be removed each night to allow for watering whenever possible.
● Please, no bicycles, unicycles, skateboards, or any other wheel-mounted personal travel devices on the lawn.
● Do not pour any liquids into the grass besides water.

River and Creek Access & Use / Swimming

● Both the Navarro River and Neefus Creek waterways flow through Camp Navarro and are protected natural habitat for Coho Salmon and Steelhead.
● In both waterways, during the winter and spring, the river and creek heights and currents can evolve rapidly. During the summer, the river and creek swimming holes can be extremely shallow. We encourage you and guests to have fun, but also to use caution at all times of the year.
● Damming up the Navarro River or Neefus Creek or otherwise altering the flow of water with natural or man-made objects is not permitted under any circumstances.
● NO tent camping allowed in the Navarro Riverbed or flood plain at any time of year
● NO tent camping allowed Neefus Creek bed or flood plain at any time of year
● To avoid injury, no jumping or diving is permitted.
● NO lifeguard is on duty.
● Children under the age of 14, if swimming, must be supervised by an adult at all times.
● Rope Swing - use at your own risk

Fishing
● Fishing IS NOT permitted along Neefus Creek or the Navarro River at any time.

Water System
As part of our long-term forest management plan, Camp Navarro is committed to water conservation and maintaining the safety of the water table:
● Camp Navarro operates a State Certified non-community water system supported by the Navarro Watershed aquifer.
● Water is filtered, chlorinated, and stored on property. Water is also monitored by to ensure the utmost safety and quality. All faucets and taps throughout the property provide potable water.
● We encourage our guests to be conservative in their use of this beautiful and fragile natural resource.

Septic System & Maintenance

● Please only use biodegradable and environmentally safe soaps, shampoos, lotions, sunblock, and pest repellants while at CN.
● Do not pour any kind of grease or food waste down any of the drains in the shower houses or washing stations

Telephone
● There is no cell phone reception at Camp Navarro, however guests may have the ability to place calls via the Wi-Fi network.
● CN does have an emergency landline on property which is available for outbound calls, but is not monitored for inbound calls or messages.
● CN’s public number (off property), which is monitored for incoming messages and calls is (707) 633-3020, this is the number which should be shared with your guests.
● While CN will maintain service, it shall not be liable for interruptions in such service beyond its control.

Wi-Fi
● Internet is available. As CN is remotely located in the heart of the redwoods, Internet availability cannot be guaranteed.
● Site Tour Guests are to only utilize the networks provided and may not utilize any of the Camp Navarro networks.
● NO guests are allowed to directly tap into any ethernet ports anywhere on the property. Guests who directly tap ethernet ports will be asked to leave property.

Drones
● Drones are not permitted.

Bicycles
● Bicycles are only permitted on the dirt roads of the property.
● NO RIDING on Masonite Industrial Road (LOGGING ROAD), the lawn, or parking lots is allowed.

Smoking
● Smoking is allowed in designated areas only.
● In keeping with California safety standards, there is no smoking within 20 feet of the entrance, exit or window of any public building, workplace building when smoking in officially designated areas.
● Guests are to use cigarette receptacles and not put cigarettes out on the ground.
● CN smoking areas are enforced as part of our fire safety plan.
● NO smoking of Cannabis in the CN permitted alcohol area at any time.

Waste Removal & Recycling
● All trash and recycling must be placed in the proper receptacles before vacating the property, including removing all trash/recycling/boxes from the storage and production areas provided during your event.
● In an effort to reduce the harmful impact of plastic and micro-trash on our wildlife and environment, the following items are prohibited on property:
● Water balloons
● Mini plastic toys (single use disposable lights/twirlers/rings etc.)
● Silly String
● Items left are subject to a removal fee.

Pets
● Camp Navarro DOES NOT ALLOW dogs or other pets on its premises.
● Service animals are permitted only with prior written notice from Camp Navarro and need to be on a leash and under owner’s command at all times.
● Service animal owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet and for any damage done to our employees, our guests, the cabins or property.
● Any guest who arrives with a non-service animal will NOT be admitted and asked to leave the premises.

Arrival / Parking and Vehicles
● Camp Navarro is not an open property.
● Camp Navarro is located off Masonite Industrial Road and there are multiple CN dedicated parking lots for guests. (Refer to map for details.) Pre-tour information will direct guests to proper parking areas upon arrival to property.
● Parking on Masonite Industrial Road is not allowed under any circumstances. This road is a private, shared access road with local residents and is an ACTIVE logging road. Guests are not allowed to impede traffic on this road in any way. Logging trucks use this route consistently. There is no guest access allowed (vehicle or pedestrian) on Masonite Industrial Road past Parking Lot 2.
● Vehicles are to remain in designated parking lots.
● No ATV’s or carts are allowed.

ADDITIONAL LEGAL ITEMS


Observance of Public Safely
● Guest(s) agrees to abide by all applicable regulations and requests made by authorized governmental agencies responsible for public safety.

Indemnification
● Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Camp Navarro and its affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, demands, liens, suits and expenses arising out of or related to your use of Camp Navarro, including any damage to the camp caused by your or your guests’ use of the camp; (iii) any breach of any of covenants or obligations hereunder by you or any of your guests, (iv) Camp Navarro’s acceptance of delivery of any property placed or delivered to the camp, including any loss or damages to such property (unless such loss or damage is due to CNS’s gross negligence or willful misconduct), (v) any act or omission by you or your guests, (vi) any claim by your guests or their invitees including, without limitation, property damage, loss of life, bodily injury and/or (vii) any inaccuracy of any representation, or breach of any agreement, made by you hereunder.
● CAMP NAVARRO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DEATH, ILLNESS, BODILY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE WHICH IS MADE, INCURRED OR SUSTAINED BY GUEST OR ANY GUEST INVITEES. UNLESS INJURY OR DAMAGE WAS DIRECTLY CAUSED BY THE GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OF CAMP NAVARRO.
● CAMP NAVARRO SHALL IN NO EVENT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH GUEST'S STAY, OR ARISING FROM THE BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT BY CAMP NAVARRO, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Governing Law; Jurisdiction; Waiver of Trial by Jury; Arbitration
● Your booking confirmation with the Rules & Regulations. are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of California. We both hereby agree that any dispute arising out of the letter agreement and/or the incorporated Rules & Regulations. shall be subject to arbitration in San Francisco County, California through JAMS. If the parties are unable to agree as to the identity of the arbitrator within 15 days of the initiation of the arbitration, JAMS shall select the arbitrator in accordance with its rules. In the event of any controversy, claim or action being filed or instituted between the parties respecting this Agreement, the prevailing party will be entitled to receive from the other party its
reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, whether or not such controversy or claim is litigated or prosecuted to judgment. The arbitrator will determine the prevailing party, taking into consideration the merits of the claims asserted by each party, the amount of the judgment received by each party, settlement offers and the relative equities between the parties. Any arbitration may be initiated by a written demand to the other party. The arbitrator’s decision will be final, binding, and conclusive. The parties further agree that this provision is intended to be strictly construed to require arbitration as the sole and exclusive means for resolution of all disputes regarding this Release to the fullest extent permitted by law. The parties expressly waive any entitlement to have any such controversy decided by a court or a jury.
