HOT BUTTERED RUM- was built to play in nature and share music that knows no genre boundaries! Like tributaries forming a river, their musical influences are diverse and their sound pays homage to Americana, rock, jazz, bluegrass and pop influences. Hosting CDE is taken as a heartfelt mission by the band so you never know where they might appear or what they may craft musically for their shows. HBR creates signature CDE moments so get ready to groove and dive in….
Spafford- We have waited ten years to welcome this legendary band that knows no boundaries. Spafford’s one of a kind sound is dynamic and exhilarating and their jams are memorable. This quartet flows as one entity and captures the audience almost instantly in their energy. Amongst many epic moments this year, this set is guaranteed to fly high and free and be a core memory….
The Breaks- When three modern groove masters of modern funk and soul-jazz converge, sparks are bound to fly. The Breaks brings together guitarist Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds), drummer Stanton Moore (Galactic), and organist Robert Walter (The Greyboy Allstars) — three musicians whose collective groove has shaped the sound of contemporary funk for over two decades.
Rooted in the tradition of late-’60s organ trios and hard-hitting boogaloo, The Breaks push the sound forward with deep-pocket rhythms, tight arrangements, and fearless improvisation. Eddie Roberts’ sharp, melodic guitar work dances effortlessly over Stanton Moore’s explosive New Orleans-infused drum grooves, while Robert Walter’s signature Hammond organ tones tie it all together with grit and soul. This set will be epic and an apex moment at CDE….
Neighbor- Hailing from Boston, Neighbor has become a CDE favorite! This dynamic quartet blends ambitious compositions, soulful balladry, and fearless improvisations to create a unique musical experience. Featuring Richard James (vocals, keys) Rob Compa (guitar), Dan Kelly (bass) and Dean Johnston (drums), together they fuel the groove and lay a solid foundation for Neighbor’s "down home" sound. They do not make it out west very often so this is a ‘gift’ to our loyal fans. Let’s be good neighbors and rock our socks off….
King Stingray- King Stingray is a story of lifelong friendship. Growing up together in Yirrkala North-East Arnhem Land (a very remote Aboriginal community on in the northern tip of Australia), the band blends ancient indigenous melodies (Yolŋu Manikay) with surf, indie and rock influences to create their unique “Yolŋu surf-rock” sound which has captivated Australia and now the world. Hailed as "one of the most exciting acts today" King Stingray celebrate life and the oldest living culture in the world, the Yolngu People of North-East Arnhem Landn Australia. Camp Deep End is honored to host this band and to turn you on to something special and real. Let’s light the path and welcome them as only deep enders can!
Bobby Alu- Tropical Ambassador Bobby Alu. Samoan/Australian rhythm superstar curating smooth feel and harmony. Camp Navarro/CDE and Bobby have a long, storied history and the vibes keep elevating when this crew drops in. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the flow as it is one-of-a-kind feel good experience.
Joe Samba - Guitar slung low, microphone turned up, and emotion overflowing, Joe Samba taps into rock ‘n’ roll spirit and reggae soul all at once. The Massachusetts-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist sonically teeters on an axis of island-inflected grooves and gritty guitar-craft balanced by his dynamic vocals. He finds the sweet spot between smoked-out Caribbean bliss and sweat-soaked punkified energy. It’s why he’s quietly emerged as a phenomenon, toppling charts at #1 and why he was a ‘must have’ for our CDE lineup after debuting last year at our other fest, Camp Redwoods. Get ready for the time of your life and a new favorite artist….And encourage Joe to join us around the campfire J and have your mind blown again…
Coyote Island- Rarely has a band captured our hearts and minds like Coyote Island has. Dare we say, they are intoxicating and a perfect fit and vibe for what we are all about and we had to have them back after their epic debut last year. Hailing from Maine and led by charismatic frontman Mike O’Hehir this is a band going places with their unique worldly sound blending folk roots, reggae rhythms, and psychedelic indie rock. The band crafts music that feels like a sonic escape. Plan on two epic sets plus some surprises….
Broken Compass Bluegrass - Having grown up at CDE, it is only fitting that Kyle Ledson and BCB join us in the deep end again to add their pickin’ goodness to our musical stew. These ‘youngsters’ are a rising force on the jamgrass scene and we are proud to have helped ‘seed’ and nurture their growth over the years. Plan for BCB to be pickin’ and grinnin’ all throughout the redwoods and to put a giant stamp on our festivities…
Tracorum- Few bands can lay it down authentically in so many diverse styles as Tracorum. They have been a part of our CDE family from the beginning and the dance floor always sways and grooves as their infectious blend of new orleans, funk, gospel, reggae and rock lures all to join the party. The quartet is a bunch of heavy hitters and led by Flether Nielsen on Keys, Ben Andrews on Guitar and fiddle, Daria Johnson on drums and Paul Sounder on Bass. Get ready to smile with this Cosmic-Gospel Thunder-Funk ensemble….
The Real Sarahs- Our homegrown valley favorites return to serenade us with their sweet harmonies and infectious spirit! Sarah Larkin and Sarah Ryan have evolved into a powerful force in the Folk American scene and watching them grow over the last decade has been amazing. And do not miss them around the fire as they hold court there and light up the night with a magical mix of tunes.
The Westones- The Bay Area has a new funk, soul and R&B powerhouse receiving rave reviews and shaking booties wherever they go. Made up of major players from numerous standout bands (Con Brio, Dirtwire, Midtown Social, etc) you will notice a few of these players from past CDE bands. Since CDE10 is a family reunion of sorts, it is only fitting to welcome the Westones and some of the family back to the redwoods. We only get one play so let’s make their debut a celebration like no other. See you on the dancefloor….
Allen Bush Project- Preamble: Allen is a CDE legend and one of the brightest stars in our community. He hosts the Commissioner's Ramble at CDE (do not miss!), is our Graphic Designer and creates an amazing logo and poster every year and is a camp host and music fan extraordinaire! Now, Allen embarks on a new musical chapter that we were first in line to support our brother…

His roots run deep in the Northwest music scene; he co-founded indie jam-rock band The Strangers while attending the university of Oregon. The strangers rose to popularity in San Francisco, touring and appearing with popular 90’s acts like Leftover Salmon, Widespread Panic, Colonel Bruce Hampton, Little Women (Jerry Joseph), Jambay, The Renegade Saints and more. Watch for Allen’s new solo album release, “Supersilver” this Spring.
Embodied Groove - There is no better way to start your day than with Embodied Groove. Each year, the groove gets sweeter as we (band/fans/nature/Dr.Leah) come together as a community to flow as one under the redwoods in improvisational bliss. Dr. Leah Taylor guides this special moment in time with an all-star band making music and collective memories in real time. Check out the video from CDE8 to see what this is all about.
